The JIS G3106 09CUPCRNI-B steel equivalent specification is a hot-rolled carbon steel plate for welded structures. The 09CUPCRNI-B steel equivalent steel grades include: SM400A/B/C, SM490A/B/C, SM490YA/YB, SM520B/C, SM570.

Both 14Cr1MoR pressure vessel steel and 15CrMoR pressure vessel steel belong to Cr-Mo hydrogen resistant steel, and they are special steel in strict sense. 09CUPCRNI-B steel equivalent, Cr-Mo hydrogen resistant steel is suitable for petrochemical, nuclear power, steam turbine cylinder block, thermal power and other large-scale equipment with high temperature and high pressure and connected with hydrogen or hydrogen mixed medium. Moreover, 15CrMoR pressure vessel steel has high endurance strength below 550 °C.

Nickel element is mainly used to form and stabilize the austenite structure, so that the 09CUPCRNI-B steel equivalent steel has good mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and process performance. Molybdenum can quickly passivate stainless acid-resistant steel, and improve the corrosion resistance to solutions containing chloride ions and other non-oxidizing media. Titanium and niobium are usually used to fix the carbon in alloy steel and make it generate stable carbides to reduce the harmful effect of carbon on the corrosion resistance of alloy steel.

09CUPCRNI-B steel equivalent, Q690 steel is low alloy high strength steel. It belongs to the Chinese GB standard steel. Q690 steel is named after its yield strength value. Q is the abbreviation of yield strength, that is, the yield strength of Q690 steel is 690 MPa. Chemical composition of Q690 steel: C ≤ 0.18, Si ≤ 0.60, Mn ≤ 2.0, P ≤ 0.030, S ≤ 0.025, Nb ≤ 0.11, V ≤ 0.12, Ti ≤ 0.20, Cr ≤ 1.00, Ni ≤ 0.80, Cu ≤ 0.80, N ≤ 0.015, Mo ≤ 0.30, B ≤ 0.004, Al ≤ 0.015. The mechanical properties of Q690 steel are: yield strength ≥ 690 MPa, tensile strength 730-940 MPa, elongation after fracture ≥ 14%, impact energy 31J.
