A572-50 steel I-beam is widely used in construction and architectural applications because it can provide more strength unit weight. Because of its high strength of 50000 Ksi yield strength, grade 05CUPCRNI a572-50 steel I-section steel is more and more replacing ordinary carbon steel beams such as A36, and A36 section steel needs to be thickened to meet the strength requirements. grade 05CUPCRNI ASTM 572 steel I can be used in other grades, such as 42, 55 and 60.
Boiler steel mainly refers to materials used to make superheaters, main steam pipes and heating surfaces of boiler fire chambers. Boiler steel is a totally different material from grade 05CUPCRNI. The performance requirements for boiler steel are mainly good welding performance, certain high temperature strength, alkali corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance. Commonly used boiler steels include open-hearth smelted low-carbon killed steel or electric furnace smelted low-carbon steel, with carbon content Wc in the range of 0.16%-0.26%. When manufacturing high-pressure boilers, pearlitic heat-resistant steel or austenitic heat-resistant steel is used. In recent years, ordinary low-alloy steel has also been used to build boilers.
Most common grade 05CUPCRNI steel plates are rolled by hot rolling or controlled rolling. Compared with the general hot rolling process, the advantages of controlled rolling are: the strength and low temperature toughness of steel plates are greatly improved by controlled rolling to refine grains. In addition, the controlled rolling process can give full play to the role of Microalloying Elements Nb, V and Ti, not only play a role of precipitation strengthening, but also refine the grains, and improve the toughness of the rolled grade 05CUPCRNI steel plates.
