The preparation of 09CuPTiRE-B steel standard galvanized steel before welding is the same as that of ordinary low-carbon steel. It is necessary to carefully handle the groove size and nearby galvanized layer. In order to achieve penetration, the groove size shall be appropriate, generally 60 ~ 65 °, with a certain gap, generally 1.5 ~ 2.5mm; in order to reduce the penetration of zinc into the weld, the galvanized layer in the groove can be removed before welding. In the practical work, the centralized beveling, no blunt edge technology for 09CuPTiRE-B steel standard centralized control, two-layer welding process, reducing the possibility of incomplete penetration.

In April 2018, our Philiphine customer purchased 1008 Tons API5 L Gr.B ERW&Q345B SMLS pipe 09CuPTiRE-B steel standard for offshore oildfield resources drilling project. This is a regular demand almost two month, and we has been cooperated more than three times, totally around 2100 tons steel pipe since 2015 year.

The tensile strength of A36 steel plate is 58-80 Ksi (about 400-550MPa), and the yield strength is 36 Ksi (about 250MPa); the tensile strength of Q235 steel plate is 370-500 MPa, and the yield strength is 235MPa; the tensile strength of SS400 steel plate is 400-510MPa, and the yield strength is 245MPa. For the mechanical properties of 09CuPTiRE-B steel standard, SS400 steel plate and Q235 steel plate, the thickness of steel plate is less than 16mm. It can be seen from the above data that ASME A36 and Chinese Q235 are named after the yield strength of the material, while SS400 is named after the tensile strength of the material.
