Japan's crude steel production is expected to fall 25.9% in the April June quarter from a year earlier, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said Thursday. The Ministry of Economy and Industry quoted an industry survey report as saying that the demand for 05CUPCRNI equivalent grades and so on steel products (including export products) in April June is expected to drop 18.1% to 18.28 million tons from the same period last year. At the same time, steel exports in the current quarter will decline by 21.4% year-on-year.

Vanadium element (V element) can refine grains in ordinary low carbon alloy steel, improve the strength and yield ratio and low temperature characteristics after normalizing, and improve the welding performance of steel, 05CUPCRNI equivalent grades included. Vanadium element (V element) is often used in combination with manganese, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten and other elements in structural steel because of its low hardenability under general heat treatment conditions. Vanadium in quenched and tempered steel is mainly to improve the strength and yield ratio of steel, refine the grain size, and pick up the overheating sensitivity.

Weathering steel alloys like Corten A/B were developed for hard-wearing industrial applications to eliminate the need for costly finishing and refinishing. Primary alloying elements in the steel (copper, chromium, and nickel) actively cause atmospheric corrosion at the surface to generate a hard, corrosion-resistant patina. This protective layer actively and continuously regenerates when Corten steel 05CUPCRNI equivalent grades is subjected to weathering influences, including airborne pollutants, humidity, and rain.
