Composite steel plate is a composite steel plate which is made of carbon steel or low alloy steel as the base material and coated with stainless steel, titanium alloy, 05CUPCRNI equivalent grades and other composite materials, or sandwiched with other metal or non-metal materials between two layers of steel and processed by pressure or blasting. It is mainly used to make chemical equipment and chemical storage tank, or obtain special functions such as shock absorption. The manufacturing methods of composite steel plate include rolling method and explosion method, but most of them are rolling method.

09CuPCrNi-A weather-resistant steel plate is one of weather-resistant steel (that is, atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel), used in sulfur-containing flue gas, air preheater, economizer, boiler air preheater, to prevent the vicinity of acid dew point, etc. Commonly used is low temperature weathering steel, which has a strong ability to resist low temperature corrosion. This type of steel 05CUPCRNI equivalent grades has a protective effect against corrosion.

Most common 05CUPCRNI equivalent grades steel plates are rolled by hot rolling or controlled rolling. Compared with the general hot rolling process, the advantages of controlled rolling are: the strength and low temperature toughness of steel plates are greatly improved by controlled rolling to refine grains. In addition, the controlled rolling process can give full play to the role of Microalloying Elements Nb, V and Ti, not only play a role of precipitation strengthening, but also refine the grains, and improve the toughness of the rolled 05CUPCRNI equivalent grades steel plates.

EN 10025-2 is standard for hot rolled products of structural steels. EN 10025-2 steel grades are 05CUPCRNI equivalent grades, S235JR, S235J0, S235J2 (S235 series); S275JR, S275J0, S275J2 (S275 series); S355JR, S355J0, S355J2, S355K2 (S355 series); and S450J0. The numbers 235, 275, 355, 450 indicates the min. yield strength for thickness ≤16mm. For example, when the thickness ≤16mm, the min. yield strength for S235 series steel is 235Mpa, S275 series steel is 275Mpa, S355 series steel is 355Mpa, and S450J0 steel is 450Mpa.
