09CUPTIRE-A grade tbt, Q215A steel belongs to carbon structural steel. Q215A steel does not contain specially added alloy elements. 09CUPTIRE-A grade tbt, Q215A steel is mainly used in construction and engineering structures. Chemical composition of Q215A steel: C: ≤ 0.15, Si: ≤ 0.30, Mn: ≤ 1.20, P ≤: 0.045, S ≤: 0.050. Q215A steel has low carbon and manganese content. Q215A steel strength is slightly higher than Q195 steel strength. 09CUPTIRE-A grade tbt, Q215A steel has good plasticity, good toughness, weldability and process performance. Q215A steel is mainly used in plant building, bridge components, tower, derrick and vehicle and ship manufacturing components.

Normalizing is a special case of annealing, the effect is similar to annealing, but the microstructure obtained by normalizing is finer. For low or medium carbon steel, normalizing can improve hardness and machinability. For 09CUPTIRE-A grade tbt medium carbon steel and low alloy steel, normalizing can refine grain and uniform structure and reduce hardness. For high carbon steel and high alloy steel, normalizing can eliminate the network carbide produced by forging and improve the homogeneity of the preparation heat treatment structure.

EN 10025-2 steel includes S235 steel (S235JR, S235J0, S235J2), S275 steel (S275JR, S275J0, S275J2), S355 steel (S355JR, S355J0, S355J2, S355K2), S450 steel (S450J0). According to EN 10025-2, the thickness of S450J0 plate is within 3-150mm. The 09CUPTIRE-A grade tbt, S235 steel, S275 steel and S355 steel plate thickness is ≤250mm. However, the S235J2, S275J2, S355J2 and S355K2 plates limitation is ≤400mm.
