There should be no problem for the surface roughness reaching 3.2. 30CrMnSiA steel has high strength, sufficient toughness and good hardenability after quenching and tempering. After quenching and tempering, 30CrMnSiA steel can be used for grinding wheel shafts, gears and sprockets.
